What is your favorite thing to do in the summer? Go to the beach, build sand castles and read. I love watching my garden grow and taking care of all the veggies. I also love to flip my big tractor tire down the driveway - great way to burn off those extra calories!

Who is your favorite person from the Bible? Ruth

What is your favorite book of the Bible and why? Ephesians - a lot of good lessons how to live and especially Ephesians 6:10-18 - The Armor of God.

What are you most looking forward to in the new Sunday school year?

Meeting some new friends, catching up with old friends, following a curriculum and seeing what God has in store for us this year. It's been a true joy over these past few years to teach these wonderful children. Every year I learn something new about myself and why God put me here. I am so grateful for the opportunity.

Sylvia

Kindegarten Teacher

What is your favorite thing to do in the summer? I am a BIG reader and believe "reading is the doorway to knowledge." I participate in 2 book clubs, I'm a "friend of the Milford Library," and yearly participate in the Bridgeport "read aloud program" on October 20. Just finished Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg; currently reading Memory Man by David Balducci.

Who is your favorite person from the Bible? Favorite person would be Luke - that's my son's name - to me he is a physician who points to the "Great Physician" and is connected with healing.

What is your favorite book of the Bible and why? Again, the book of Luke - lots of stories of healing (Prodigal Son) - love the story of the birth of Christ from the book of Luke too - Luke has a lot of humility in my eyes - he's a listener.

What are you most looking forward to in the new Sunday school year? I'm looking forward to meeting new faces and reuniting with those I already know. Everyone seems to be getting older, including myself, and I love to see how the kids grow/change year to year in Christ.

What are you most looking forward to in the new Sunday school year? I am super excited to meet my new first graders and reconnect with my second graders. I am looking forward to a fun year of music, God's word, and more hearts for Jesus.

Amy

Grade 3

What is your favorite thing to do in the summer?

The beach!!! The sun, sand and the waves and the ice cream at Springer's in Stone Harbor, NJ.

Who is your favorite person from the Bible?

I don't have one favorite person. I'm inspired by each story in the Bible and how God can use anyone if they are willing--even if they make a few wrong turns along the way. God is amazing and he can and will do amazing things in the lives of those he loves.

What is your favorite book of the Bible and why? I have so many I turn to for different reasons. Ecclesiastes is my "go to" when I need reassurance/reminders that a life not centered on God is meaningless. Proverbs for when I'm seeking words of wisdom. Romans when I need that reminder that with Christ we can do anything--he is our salvation!

What are you most looking forward to in the new Sunday school year?

Getting to know a new group of kids, sharing my love of Christ with them. I can't wait to see what God will teach me through their eyes and hearts.

What is your favorite book of the Bible and why? James - I find it to be a very clear, concise, "no frills" personal instruction manual from God on how to live my life.

What are you most looking forward to in the new Sunday school year? I'm excited to see what God is going to teach me as I prepare the weekly lessons.
